As the traditional-age student population enters a period of prolonged decline in Massachusetts, and as the world of work becomes increasingly competitive, access to undergraduate education for non-traditional adult learners must be a priority for Massachusetts public colleges and universities. What do we know about the adult learners already enrolled in our institutions, and what factors are affecting potential adult learners’ decisions about whether to pursue undergraduate education?
