Notes About Cost Calculations
- Assumes student meets all Commonwealth Commitment requirements.
- Assumes coursework is completed in eight consecutive semesters at 15 credits per semester. (Commonwealth Commitment students are permitted to add one extra semester to their associate degree timeline if needed, paying one additional semester of tuition & fees and receiving one additional end-of-semester rebate.)
- Does not include costs for developmental/remedial coursework, which some students require before they can begin taking certain credit-bearing courses.
- Does not account for any financial aid or institutional scholarships, which many students receive and which would reduce all of the above cost calculations.
- Does not include additional costs such as non-mandatory fees, books, room & board, and living expenses.
- Students who are eligible for the John & Abigail Adams Scholarship or any other state tuition waiver/credit will not receive a rebate on the value of that scholarship/waiver/credit.
- State University/UMass Average does not include Massachusetts College of Art & Design or Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
