The Massachusetts Department of Higher Education remains firmly committed to continuing to advance equitable educational opportunities for all learners, particularly for those who have been historically marginalized – to attend and succeed in college. To that end, we will be reviewing the decision carefully with our public and private higher education partners to identify policies and strategies in compliance with the law that will help continue to advance our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We believe that safeguarding and continuing to advance these central tenets is important for student success and is foundational for a strong workforce, economy, and representative democracy in our Commonwealth.
