Residency Policy

On April 19, 2007, the Board of Higher Education adopted a new systemwide policy governing residency status for tuition classification purposes, i.e., whether a student can be eligible for in-state tuition at Massachusetts' public higher education institutions. This policy went into effect on July 1, 2007.   All Department of Higher Education approved forms, guidance documents and interpretive memoranda are included below.
